One of the hardest parts about being a travel writer, at least for me, is keeping up with all the blog posts I should be writing. I started GlitterandMud.com at the end of 2012, and since then I have been lucky to visit over 35 countries and have had some incredible experiences. I started traveling in my mid 20s, got totally addicted, and have never really slowed down… until now.
As you might already know, I am pregnant with my first child and so this has forced me to take things a bit slower – traveling less, and staying in London more. At first I was not happy about this at all, but to be honest it is really good to be forced to take some time to sit back, relax and reflect. It is easy to take your life for granted when you keep go, go, going!
And it is also easy to get behind on creating content like blog posts and videos. I have been meaning to create a Glitter&Mud promo video with footage of my travels for a while, so I can thank this baby in my belly for forcing me to stay home and finally do it! Here’s a short video that highlights some of my favorite trips over the last few years including: surfing at Nihiwatu on Sumba Island, adventures through Thailand and the Dubai desert with my friend Misha, taking bikini photos with Adam the grizzly bear in Montana, snowboarding in Lake Tahoe with my brothers, and discovering beautiful surfing beaches in Bali. I hope my little video inspires you to book your dream destination this year!
