Lio, Ibiza, Spain
Owned by the same company as Pacha nightclub, Lio sits on the water outside of Old Town, Ibiza. We walked into the grand entrance where performers and diners where singing and dancing at their dinner table to “everybody dooooooo the twist”. The lights were flashing, everyone was having a good time, and the spotlight was on us as we were escorted to our table. An upscale and lively crowd fills every table at this trendy hotspot Ibiza experience. I’m not sure weather to call it a restaurant, a nightclub, a show, or a lounge. It is all things combined. One huge room with bars and lounges on each end with tables sprawled out through the middle and an indoor swimming pool. Yep that’s right, an indoor pool. On the stage there are short cabaret-style performances every few minutes consisting of acrobatics, pole dancing, water shows, you name it. The talent is top notch, sexy, and darn good! The host and hostess are in full costume as they waltz across the floor guiding guests to their tables. We ended up going here two nights in a row because we loved it so much! The menu is small and I found the food to be a bit too salty. But I wasn’t really there for the food anyway. Cocktails were served in slanted highball glasses which gave the illusion that they were standing up sideways. I thought that was pretty cool! To top it all off, this place sits right smack in the middle of the harbor on the waterfront and one side is completely open air with views of all the yachts docked outside.
