Misha & I are calling it the 30 Day Ab Challenge and it’s pretty simple. For the next 30 Days we will be doing 500 crunches/day, 6x/week AND 45+ minutes of cardio 6 days a week, along with a less strict version of our “detox diet” of vegetables, proteins and fruit. Day 7 will be our rest & relax day to not work out and eat & drink whatever we want. We picked Sunday (YES! Superbowl!), but you should have your R&R break on whichever day works best for you.
Neither of us are fitness experts so I am not going to tell you which kind of crunches or sit-ups to do, but I created a simple plan that works for me. I do 10 sets of 50 crunches and alternate the type I am doing so I get a well-rounded stomach workout. I also count each second in plank as a crunch so I have been doing 2 sets of 50 second planks, and counting that as 100 crunches. I also stretch in between my sets to help with fatigue and I try very hard to keep my form up so I don’t strain my neck muscles. I timed myself this morning and it took less than 15 minutes to do 500 crunches so at the max you’re looking at 20 minutes out of your day to get the stomach you’ve always wanted, so I hope you’ve been persuaded to join us in our quest for amazing abs.
