Last summer, Nikki Beach Resort & Spa opened in Porto Heli, a quaint fishing village a few hours from Athens. Most people have never heard of Porto Heli, but upon our arrival I realized this is a big part of the appeal, as the remote location allows for a relaxing getaway. My friend Misha and I spent two days there last August and my only complaints are that the service was slow (probably because they had just opened), and that our stay was not long enough.

Beyond the fact that this glamorous 66-room boutique resort is visually stunning, making you feel instantly in the lap of luxury upon entrance, there is much to do and see. We enjoyed a delicious mimosa breakfast, swimming, tanning and cocktails poolside at the beach club, massages at the spa, workouts in the fitness center, an evening run along the water, and two amazing sunset dinners at the rooftop restaurant. But by far the coolest thing we did was paddle board to a shipwreck!

Nikki Beach Porto Heli is located on a peaceful sandy bay, right in front of an old, sunken ship. The hotel has paddle boards available for guests so we eagerly took advantage of this and paddled out to investigate the wreckage. They have their own boat dock and the bay is calm, so they also offer skiing, wakeboarding and wakesurfing, as well as boat rides to nearby islands. We took a fabulous day trip to Spetses island, but I did not have enough time to wakesurf, so being the water sports junkie that I am, I of course can not wait to return to Porto Heli!
See the website for the latest offers and rates at Nikki Beach Porto Heli.

The rooms are large, modern and clean, and all have beautiful panoramic oceans views. Each ground floor suite comes with its own private pool, but if you are in the suite next to the restaurant make sure it is closed before you decide to go skinny dipping! Oops!

Such a fun trip and awesome hotel, especially that rooftop. I’m ready for another trip to Greece!
This is stunning. I have to take a trip here asap!!!!
Looks fab! Have you been to other Nikko Beaches? How do they all compare?
Hi Cecile! I have been to Nikki Beach St Tropez. It was fabulous but it is not a hotel, just a beach club so it is not really comparable. I do hope to stay at more Nikki Beach Hotels as this one was fabulous! If you stay at one please let me know what you think! X
So gorgeous! I’ve been to Athens many times but have never heard of Porto Heli – I like that it’s off the radar and a hidden gem
