Perched high on a secluded hillside in Mykonos, looking out over Psarou Beach and famous Nammos Beach Club, sits Villa Anastasia, an expansive luxury villa offering 8 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms and a large infinity pool with sweeping views of the Agean Sea. This gorgeous Mykonos Nammos Villa is generously laid out over 15,000 square feet with two detached guest quarters, separate housekeeping quarters, a private elevator, a poolside bar, and a beautiful seaside chapel.
“Villa Anastasia offers one of the most outstanding views, while preserving your privacy, in a luxurious setting,” explains Marika, who will be your attentive host during your stay here. The Mykonos Nammos Villa is spread over two levels with high ceilings and large windows offering breathtaking ocean views from the living room, dinning room and master bedroom. The large wrap around terrace on the ground level offers further unobstructed ocean views of Psarou Cove along with two separate outdoor dinning areas where you can sit and enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks, taking in sparkling views of the Agean Sea as all your cares fade away.

STAYING AT THE MYKONOS NAMMOS VILLA
Last month my family and I spent seven blissful nights in Mykonos at Villa Anastasia. It was paradise and I was not ready to leave when our trip came to an end! The Mykonos Nammos Villa was an excellent choice for our luxury family getaway. The villa is lovely – nicely decorated in cream and whites, and well laid out.

The property is also killer for entertaining! There is Sonnos surround sound in the pool-side bar area so we literally sat for hours enjoying breakfast and coffee, and then enjoying music and cocktails. I am not embarrassed to admit I had more than my fair share of homemade sangria on this trip! And there is also great Wifi so I was able to sit in a lounge chair by the pool and get some work done too. Not a bad spot for an office!

The housekeeper, Tessie, is wonderful. She lives on the property and welcomes you each morning with fresh brewed coffee and breakfast waiting for you at one of the outside dining areas. She also cleans the villa daily and is very sweet and discrete, so you barely even notice she is around. And while it is not Tessie’s job to cook dinner, she is happy to do it if you request it and tip her generously. We bought fresh vegetables and local fish and she prepared it for us so we could enjoy relaxed dinners at home on several nights during our family trip.

VILLA TIPS – A FEW THINGS TO NOTE
The pool was not heated during our stay at Mykonos Nammos Villa but there is a pool heater. If you would like to have the pool heated I suggest requesting this in advance of your stay. The pool temperature was fine for me and my husband but it was too cold for our baby daughter.

Previously Psarou Beach and Nammos Beach Club were easily accessible by way of a dirt walking path that led from the villa down to the beach. Just prior to our trip neighbors blocked the path entrance so there is no longer an easy way to walk to the beach.

Iannis, the owner of the villa, told us he is planning to fix this, but my husband and I were determined to walk to Nammos during our trip, so we followed the steps that lead past the church and found a gate that is grown over with plants. If you push through gate and plants, you will find yourself on a stone wall. You have to hop down from here and walk down the hill about 100ft and then you will reach a dirt path that leads you directly to Nammos Beach Club. With a little determination you are still able to walk to the beach in less than 10 minutes!

EXPLORING MYKONOS FROM YOUR VILLA
You can also reach Nammos Beach Club by car – it takes just eight minutes. There is a new, impressive Nammos Beach shopping village with designer shops and valet parking for €20. If you visit during the summer high season you’ll need to make reservations in advance, but there was plenty of availability in mid-September when we visited. Lunch and lounging at Nammos Beach club is a must when you are visiting Mykonos!

Scorpios Beach Club is very cool too, and just a 15 minute drive from the villa. And you of course have to visit Old Town Mykonos to wander the beautiful streets and have dinner. Mykonos town is just 20 minutes from the Mykonos Nammos Villa. Try Sea Satin for dinner. It’s in the perfect location right on the ocean, offering fresh, delicious seafood and while it was quiet in September, when I dinned here a few summers ago it was crazy busy with people dancing on the tables!

For top-notch family dining near the villa try Obati. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is hip, and they have a fun play area room for kids that my daughter loved. If you can find a way to drink wine and eat amazing Greek and Italian food while your kids plays contently that is a huge win!
